arkIQ
Effective Date: September 29, 2026
Overview. This Privacy Policy explains how arkIQ LLC (“arkIQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the arkIQ mobile application for iOS or Android (the “App”) and related smart-water monitoring services. The App enables authorized users to monitor connected water-management devices, review sensor information and alerts, and control supported valves.
Scope. This policy applies to information processed through the App. It does not replace any separate agreement between arkIQ and a property owner, property manager, building administrator, employer, or other customer organization.
1 Information We Collect
We collect and store the following categories of information when you or an authorized property manager uses the App:
- Contact information, including your name, email address, and phone number.
- Property information, including the property, building, unit, or other location associated with your account.
- Device and sensor information, including arkIQ device identifiers, device status, connectivity information, water-consumption measurements, valve status, moisture readings, temperature or humidity readings, toilet activity, alerts, and other data generated by or associated with installed arkIQ devices.
- Account and access information needed to authenticate you, provide appropriate access, and maintain the security of the App.
We do not collect payment-card information through the App. Based on the current configuration described in this policy, we do not collect precise geolocation, photographs, or camera content through the App.
2 How We Receive Information
We receive information from accounts created by arkIQ, property managers, building administrators, or other authorized representatives. We also receive data automatically from arkIQ devices and sensors associated with the property or unit assigned to an account. Users do not create their own accounts directly in the App.
3 How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the App and arkIQ services.
- Display device status, water-consumption information, valve controls, alerts, reports, and other monitoring information.
- Associate users with the correct property, building, unit, devices, and permissions.
- Send service-related communications and alerts.
- Diagnose technical issues, maintain connectivity, prevent misuse, and improve service reliability.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with users and authorized representatives.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4 How We Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information, use personal information for targeted advertising, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- Authorized organizations and representatives. Information may be available to the property owner, property manager, building administrator, or other organization responsible for the property when access is necessary to provide monitoring, maintenance, support, safety, or water-management services.
- Service providers. Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts or processes information on our behalf. AWS may access data only as needed to provide infrastructure and related services to arkIQ and is subject to contractual and security obligations.
- Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of arkIQ, our users, or others.
- Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for their own advertising purposes.
5 Data Retention and Deletion
arkIQ currently retains account information, property and unit information, device identifiers, and sensor data indefinitely, including after an account is deactivated or the customer relationship ends. This retention supports historical reporting, device history, service continuity, troubleshooting, contractual recordkeeping, and legal or security needs.
Users may request deletion of personal information by emailing iot@arkiq.io. We will verify the request and evaluate it under applicable law, our contractual obligations, and the operational needs of the property or organization that provided the account. We may retain information when required or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, backup integrity, or other legitimate business purposes. When information is no longer required to be retained, we will delete or de-identify it in accordance with our procedures.
Because accounts are created and managed by arkIQ or an authorized property manager or administrator, users may also need to contact that organization regarding account closure or deletion. Deleting information may limit or prevent access to monitoring history, alerts, reports, or other App functions.
6 Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include access controls and safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7 Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to receive a copy of certain information or appeal a decision regarding a privacy request.
To submit a request, contact us at iot@arkiq.io. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing the request. If your account was provided by a property manager, building administrator, employer, or other organization, we may coordinate with that organization when it controls the relevant records or access permissions.
8 Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at iot@arkiq.io.
9 International Data Processing
Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where arkIQ or its service providers operate. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. We handle information as described in this Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law.
10 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the Effective Date above and publish the updated policy at the public URL used for the App. If required by law, we will provide additional notice.
